All Ages Come join a dedicated group of pickleballers. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, pickleball is great for everyone! Dates: Monday, July 1 - Sunday, August 18(No games will be played on July 4) Fees: $130 residents, $140 non-residentsLocation: All games for all divisions will be played on the Paine Field BIG basketball court! Unless games have to be moved indoors to the Town Hall Annex. Ages: The division is determined by the grade your child has completed as of 6/30/2024. This program is for youth entering grades 4-12 in the 2024/2025 academic year. Assessments: Assessments provide an opportunity for coaches to observe the players prior to selecting teams in the draft.  No shows for assessments will be picked at random in the draft. Evaluations will be held at the Paine Field basketball courts on the following dates:Girls (Completed Grades 3-6) - Saturday, June 8, @ 11:00 am. Boys Lower (Completed Grades 3 & 4) - Saturday, June 8, @ 1:00 pm Co-ed (Completed Grades 5&6) - Saturday, June 8, @ 3:00 pmCo-ed (Completed Grades 7&8) - Sunday, June 9, @ 1:00 pmCo-ed (Completed Grades 9-11) - Sunday June 9, @ 3:00 pm  **There will be no late registration past the evaluation days. **   Draft: The draft will occur immediately after the evaluations with the coaches. Please plan accordingly for that last week. An All-Star game will also be played during the last week as well. Become a Coach: All volunteer coaches are required to fill out a coaching application and a background check in order to be eligible to coach. Contact Parks and Recreation at recprograms@coventryri.gov   FAQWhen will we hear from our Coach? Within two weeks after the coaches draft has been completed, coaches will begin to reach out to each parent directly through an email and/or phone call. Game schedules will be released to you before the start of the season. How do I pick the correct uniform size for my child? If you are new to our programs, we always suggest ordering one size larger just in case. Sizes can run small depending on the vendor used each sport. Sizes range from Youth XS to Adult XL. Once rosters are set, we order the shirts and sizes cannot be switched. If we don’t like our team assignment/practice schedule/game schedule can we switch teams? Unfortunately we are NOT able to move players around once rosters are created & shirts have been ordered.

All Ages Come join a dedicated group of pickleballers. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. Whether you're new to the game or a seasoned player, pickleball is great for everyone! Please note, instruction is not included.*Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, March 28 - October 24 (or until weather deems removal of nets); 9:00am - 11:00am; Paine Field Tennis Courts, Open to everyone*Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, April 3 - October 24 (or until weather deems removal of nets); 4:00pm - 6:00pm; Paine Field Tennis Courts, Open to Coventry Residents only. 2 courts for town employees and 2 courts for residents on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Designated open court times have been established for players to know when others will be on the courts.
